Graduate School offers a variety of courses to the students at the Faculty of Social Sciences

For students at Graduate School

Within our three interdisciplinary programmes focusing Global Studies, Development Studies and Social Studies of Gender, we offer Profile courses (SIMP) and Selective courses (SIMS). Different courses will be given in spring and in fall, so make sure you plan your studies in advance.

Entrance requirements for SIMP- och SIMS-courses:
The student must have fulfilled at least 150 credits including a graded thesis for the degree of Bachelor or a completed major in Social Sciences, Economics and Management, Social Science-oriented disciplines in Humanities, or another equivalent background.

 

For students at the Faculty of Social Science

Within the Faculty of Social Sciences, we offer Courses in theory and method (SIMM). Different courses will be given in spring and in fall, so make sure you plan your studies in advance.

Entrance requirements for SIMM-courses:
These courses build on previous studies in Social Sciences. To be eligible for the course the student must have at least 150 credits including a graded thesis for the degree of Bachelor, or a completed major, in the Social Sciences or another equivalent subject.

In addition, it is required that you have English 6/English B or the equivalent. For specific conversions, please check LUs admission requirements or Universityadmissions/Antagning.se's English requirements.

Student Reception Desk

At the Student Reception desk you can get an official transcript, certificate of registration, pick up graded assignments and general information. The student desk is normally open:

  • Monday 10-13
  • Wednesday 10-13

The student desk will be closed during the summer and will reopen in September.
